Google chrome mobile default pdf viewer change

Problem - chrome mobile shows blank grey pdf because it opens with default default Drive viewer or even Google pdf viewer.

Solution -

Install Adobe pdf viewer or any other pdf  viewer. Then download any pdf.

Then go to DOWNLOADS by clicking top 3 dots in chromeh.

Then when you click the pdf, it'll ask from which pdf viewer should you want to open.

(this will work first time after installation if you haven't set any app as default viewer yet. But if you've already set & you want to change then that it should work after clearing SET AS DEFAULT setting in that particular viewer app ).

Choose your pdf viewer & you may set it to ALWAYS when meesage pops up to chhose either one time or always.

Lenovo W520 not detecting SDHC card and also won't show in Device Manager in Windows 10

To sort this, the solution that worked for me was:

1) Go to Drivers & Software Section of W520 in Lenovo Website

http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/in/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w520/downloads

2) Under - > Camera and Card Reader

A) Download & install
Ricoh Media Card Reader Driver for Windows 10

B) Restart the computer

C) Download & install
SmartCard reader driver for Windows 10

3) The Card should work now & Ricoh SD Disk Device should also show under Disk Drives in Device Manager.

Windows 10 device manager keeps refreshing

For me the problem was Logitech Wireless mouse. Every time i move the mouse, Device Manager refreshes. Don't know if this is normal.

So while working in Device Manager, i used my Laptop Mouse Touch Pad instead. Then it won't refresh.

VLC streaming port forwarding

VLC streaming issues.

VLC in windows was giving some transcoding error

And in Linux, streaming  the  URL didn't play anything. Could be something related to port forwarding requirement in VLC streaming.

NOTE:
I am not offering any solution here but, just, that this could be a probable cause of this problem.

Somewhere it was mentioned that my ISP uses double NAT so things that require port forwarding might not work.

Right Click Desktop Hourglass for few minutes OR nvidia control panel not showing up anymore in Windows 7

Problem : Right Click anywhere blank area on Desktop was causing Hourglass to appear for minutes before it would show the menu(context menu).

Machine : Thinkpad w520

Solution (see below NOTES):

WHAT FIRST SEEMS TO WORK BUT DIDN'T :
1) Uninstalled Nvidia graphics...display etc drivers.

2)Got the latest from
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014142

Downloaded NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) - ThinkPad

3) Installed & restarted Pc. For some reason, i needed to do the above process (Step 1 & 2) twice to solve the problem.

NOTES: When i was trying to figure out the solution, somewhere on the forums it was said that the problem is with NVIDIA Desktop Explorer or Graphics driver or something else. So the above process worked just fine one time.

EDIT: NOV 29,2013

I restarted machine but again the same problem started happening & even the above process didn't work

Then i noticed that the desktop Right-CLICK is not even showing up the Nvidia Control Panel option. So i went into the Computers Control Panel , searched for NVIDIA . It showed me the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL OPTION. But clicking it wouldn't open it either.

FINAL WORKING SOLUTION
So after some search , i came across a simple solution here:
http://www.datarave.net/zfh/2012/07/14/nvidia-control-panel-open/

Simple i went into services, & tried stopping NVIDIA Display Driver Service  & it worked. ( note: computer tried to stop but it couldn't stop. It did bring the service status from START TO BLANK though)  the desktop right click would show the NVIDIA CP option & right click wouldn't hang anymore!

MORE:

The above is sufficient but i didn't want to stop the service everytime i restart. So set the startup type for this service to DISABLED OR MANUAL. Now when you restart then the service will already be stopped. The desktop right-click should work fine. But NVIDIA CP may now show until you start the service. So if you want you can start & it shouldn't cause any Hanging cursor problem.

Love God Love All !
